Product Features
The function of the magnetic gripper is based on a combination of AlNiCo and neodymium magnets.
In the de-energized state, the magnetic flux of the AlNiCo magnets passes through the neodymium magnets and closes the magnetic circuit above the steel gripper body.
To activate the system, a current pulse is applied through a coil, which reverses the polarity of the AlNiCo magnets accordingly.
The magnetic flux can no longer pass through the neodymium magnets; it must pass through the workpiece to reach the opposite pole, thus generating the holding force.
EGM magnetic grippers suitable for the workpiece can be deployed or equipped.
The EGM-M unipolar gripper is ideal for gripping sheet metal parts; multiple grippers can also be used simultaneously to handle large sheets.
With the use of conductive blocks, the EGM-B bipolar gripper can also handle round workpieces.
Mounting material is provided with the conductive blocks. EGM magnetic grippers are directly equipped with connection plugs.
For the magnetic unipolar gripper (EGM-M), these connectors are connected to the gripper via a cable, allowing for flexible wiring.
For the EGM-B bipolar gripper, the connection plug is connected to the housing. The cable outlet can be incrementally rotated within a 90° range.
