From micro to large-scale cutting, from high-precision micro-machining to large-scale cutting, TRIBOS delivers ideal results. Featuring TRIBOS stress-locking clamping technology, the SCHUNK tool clamping system offers unique advantages due to its versatility and wide range of applications.
Excellent concentricity performance < 0.003 mm ensures long tool life and excellent surface quality. TRIBOS is completely maintenance-free, and its internal honeycomb/anchoring structure provides ideal vibration damping. The clamping range is extended using reducing sleeves.

Type A: With smooth cylindrical shank, Type A shanks conform to DIN 1835 and DIN 6535 HA standards. Type AB: With flat surface and cylindrical shank with drawbar, Type AB shanks conform to DIN 1835 and DIN 6535 HB standards. Type B: With lateral drawbar, Type B shanks conform to DIN 1835 standards. Type E: With inclined clamping surface, Type E shanks conform to DIN 1835 and DIN 6535 HE standards.
